THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR VIDEO
The opening 10 seconds of your video is the most important section - it either hooks the viewer or bores them. So don’t bore them! Get RIGHT into your topic, and give your viewers an incentive for sticking around. Nothing kills the momentum of a video like a slow, rambling introduction. That includes any apologies or excuses for not uploading recently (“Hey guys, sorry it’s been so long…”). Remember: the better your intro, the more likely viewers will continue watching - and increase your watchtime!
